The rise of cost of living has impacted grassroots football as a whole - including the countless volunteers within the scene. This is naturally affecting the operations of many clubs as their costs increase together. To address this, Grassroots have launched their own fund to support both clubs and leagues that are FA accredited - powered by Utilita High 5.

Disabled youth football team play first ever game (05.10.2022)
"A disabled youth football team have played their first ever game against a rival disabled team."
Gainsborough Ability Counts FC, founded by the parents of disabled children between ages 7-13, consist of players with disabilities such as cerebral pals, autism and ADHD as well as others play using frames. The team itself had been created 5-6 years ago but finally settled down through the help of Gainsborough Trinity Community Football Club.
The Counts battled Lincoln Invictus Inclusive Football Club in their first ever game - which they had waited 4 years for - and fell to a 6:4 loss, but that did not disappoint either players or the parents. They aim to play more against other disability teams before entering the East Midlands Pan Disability League in the 2023/24 season.

Charity match raises £6,500 for brave youngster (11.10.2022)
Hundreds visited Bradenham Football Club for Kayla's Family Fun Day.
"More than £6,500 was raised at a charity football match in aid of a brave four-year-old girl who is battling cancer."
Several Norwich City players including Wes Hoolahan played in a charity match between the legends XI and Tavern Allstars - a team organised by the event organiser - scheduled to raise Funds for Kayla Buttle, who suffers from stage 4 neuroblastoma.
